Joseph and Daddy's post race stretch.
Last Saturday before Conference (conference doesn't start until 12:00 here) we went and ran the Feed the Need 5k. The entry fee is canned food and it is co-sponsored by one of the wards in our stake. It was cooold and windy because we run right by the Long Island sound. But it was a beautiful day and Seth and I both ran pretty well. Seth placed 5th overall with a time of 20:30 and I placed 2nd in the women's with a time of 22:41. We had a lot of fun. We took one of the young women in our ward, Cassidy, to push the stroller during the race. Joseph and Kenny got kind of cold, but Joseph loved the soup and cookies they had after the race and Kenny eventually fell asleep.
Our other favorite things lately have been: Joseph chasing robins and squirrels and doing dishes. Joseph loves the robins. He's really cute. Whenever we go outside he just runs towards them with his arms outstretched like he is trying to catch them. Yesterday when we went outside, Joseph decided that he needed to feed some bread to the squirrels. We didn't have any bread right then, so this morning one of the first things Joseph said that he wanted to feed the squirrels some bread. This is how he said it "snk, snk, snk!" (squirrel noises) and made a sign for bread. So we went out and Joseph held out his piece of bread and ran after all the squirrels. They just ran away, but we had fun.
Another new development in our house is that Kenny loves pictures of Jesus. Anytime he sees Jesus he reaches out his hand and says "Jsssssss!" It's really cute. Here's a video!
We are having a fun spring and still excited for it to get warmer!
That's so amazing. We love Kenny so much. Can't wait to see you all.
ReplyDeleteJoseph's stretching picture is my favorite one ever! haha.
