Dawn Marie and Marlon's baptism

Our friends Dawn Marie and Marlon were baptized on August 2nd (the same day Joseph was blessed). Dawn Marie started coming to church because her sister-in-law was a member here. She came for about 3 months before anybody realized that she wasn't a member. She just already seemed like a member. She has met with the missionaries for about a year, and was one of the first people Seth and I visited with the missionaries when we moved here. At first the missionaries were only teaching Dawn, and no one had met Marlon. I was scared that he was going to be some big mean husband who didn't like the church. Come to find out he is the nicest person in the world (and not so big). Thanks to Dawn's example he also started coming to church and meeting with the missionaries. Even though he loves soccer and used to always play on Sundays, he gave that up to be baptized. They have two little boys and are from Jamaica. They seemed so happy when they were baptized, and then received the gift of the Holy Ghost yesterday. It is neat to see how the gospel has blessed their family. They have been good friends to us--they only live about a block away, and we are so excited that now they are truly members of our ward.
