Family Reunions and Utah

The Vernon Family, minus Parley, Mandy, Dave, and Rod. So almost the whole family was there.

Joseph's got some sweet cowboy boots. Wonder if pioneer babies really ever wore those ...

Joseph and some of his cousins. Not so sure what he's thinking here.

Over pioneer day weekend, July 24th and 25th, Elizabeth's family had a large family reunion - all her mother's brothers and sisters gathered together in Alpine to celebrate Grandma Carey's 90th birthday.

Since Elizabeth's parents hadn't been able to make it out when Joseph was born, they gave us money to come back for the reunion in the summer. All of Elizabeth's brothers and sisters were there except one brother who is selling security systems this summer in Indianapolis.

As part of the activities, we put on pioneer type fun games at Moyle Park, where her parents live. We did our best to dress up as pioneers, and were grateful for the shade of the park on those 90+ degree summer days.

Hallie and Titus, Elizabeth and Joseph. Titus is Joseph's cousin, and he's three weeks older. Looks like Joseph is catching up on size.

On part of the trip we made it to Provo to visit the Vernon grandparents. We also saw the Taylor family, but I'll post that separately.

On the way home, we had a layover in Minneapolis and we saw Mandy and Dave, Elizabeth's sister and brother in law for a picnic just outside the airport.

This is what Joseph thought about the whole thing!
